District Lay Leader

A Word From Our District Lay Leader, Dan Dietze

I hope you have been enjoying the summer. I know I have! July will be all but over by the time you get this newsletter. Now we get ready for lay servant ministry training, training on how to grow the church, as well as Church Charge conferences.

The lay servant ministry will be held at three locations in our district. There will be one training weekend at each end of the district and one in the middle. This will be in the months of September, October and November. There should be more information on this in the rest of the newsletter.

I hope we can use the charge conferences as periods of sharing information between the district and the churches. Communication is everything. That ‘s why we need it in our family and that’s why we need to do that with God thru prayer.

We have been given challenges by the Bishop to pray more. I know my prayer life has improved over the past year. I discovered as I began to pray more, I started reading the Bible and other Spiritual books more. As you do that you get to know God more and you are better equipped with God’s power.

Hebrews 4:12 says “The Word of God is full of living power”. With that living power you can serve the Lord more. So keep studying and praying!

Continue to have a great summer and God Bless!

Prayer:

Lord, we ask you to continue to teach us and lead us in your ways so we may be more spiritually vital in all that we say and do.

Amen.
