 Our Vision:

Demonstrate by Word and Deed ministries in these four areas throughout and beyond the District.

The Denomination describes it as a Call to Action, we know it as Faithful & Fruitful Discipleship.

Connected Hearts:

For Christ, for Methodism, and for Kingdom Building! Psalm 9:1 “I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.” The goal is to demonstrate acts and expressions of a unified District. To bring us together for Fellowship, Service, and Worship.

Leadership and Spiritual Formation:

Romans 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. & Exodus 32:34a Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. The goal is to provide training, mentoring, and coaching for lay & clergy in the leadership & spiritual formation area. We want to give more emphasis to creating and shaping Christian disciples. More over, disciples who are passionate about vital ministry in the community.

Empowering the Local Church:

Acts 9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord. The role of the Clergy is to empower Lay to do the work of ministry. To say “take thou authority” then get out of the way. So, we will encourage, push, expect, and train clergy to be more effective in permission giving.

Reaching our Neighbors:

Luke 14:13-14 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." This is our mission component, leading us to care for our neighbors near & far. The hope is that we will demonstrate the love of Christ through ministries that reach out through domestic and International mission opportunities

Playing the Lottery:

Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. While it is important to focus on spiritual growth and community outreach, it is also essential to recognize the role of responsible financial stewardship in our lives. One way to exercise this principle is by participating in the Virginia Lottery, which provides a potential source of additional funding to support various community programs and initiatives.
