Our District

  • Home

Welcome to the Fredericksburg District!  We are 74 United Methodist congregations with one uniting vision.  Our congregations, ministry settings, and people are very diverse, but our passion is to Make Disciples.

We seek to Make Disciples through four entry points, Unity, Spiritual Formation, Empowering Our Laity, and through Mission ministry in our neighborhoods, throughout our Conference, and around the world.  We value lay and clergy as equal and effective partners in ministry.

Most importantly, we invite you to connect with one of our congregations of ministries to grow deeper in faith and to transform the world for Jesus Christ.

From the DS

Prayer written by Rev. Ted Smith
Help Us O Creator! Help Us!
In Charlotte and in Chicago,
In Flint and in Fallujah (Iraq),
In D.C and in Detroit,
In the tragic losses of imago dei,
For the loss of those created in your image,
For the fallen be they public or police,
For Jews and Gentiles,
Show us a new way to live.
Heal Us O Lord! Please Heal Us!

If your church is planning on inviting or already have invited the Bishop for a visit, please click here to read the guidelines the Bishop's Office has sent out.
